The Laboratory of Hydraulics, Hydrology and Glaciology (VAW) is responsible for research and teaching in the fields of hydraulic structures, fluvial hydraulics and glaciology.
The institute is directed by Prof. Dr. Robert Boes.
The app. 60 collaborators deal with Research, Applied Research work and Education.

On February 1, 2009 Dr. Robert Boes has become successor of Prof. Dr. H.-E. Minor as Professor for Hydraulic Structures at ETH Zurich and Director of VAW
