The Laboratory of Hydraulics,
Hydrology and Glaciology (VAW) conducts research and teaching in the fields of
hydraulic engineering, river engineering and glaciology.
The institute with its 60 members of staff is directed by Prof. Dr. Robert M. Boes. It is subdivided into the following
